Daniel graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2012, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. At the same time, he also received his Masters with Honors in Anthropology from KU where his research focused on Late-Quaternary Geoarchaeology in North-Central Kansas. His research was funded by the ODYSSEY Archaeological Research Fund, the goal of which is to search for evidence of the earliest people to inhabit the Central Great Plains. Prior to law school, Mr. Keating graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Anthropology.
Before joining Anderson & Byrd, Mr. Keating was in private practice in the Kansas City area since his graduation in 2012. Initially, his practice was primarily focused on family law, estate planning, probate, contracts, and business/franchise law, including business formation, transactions, and litigation, as well as analyzing recent construction law cases in order to update the Construction Law Digest that was used by professionals in the industry. More recently, Daniel worked in the arears of personal/catastrophic injury, trucking defense, wrongful death, complex civil litigation, appellate briefing, and mechanics liens, as well as advising businesses and individuals with respect to business formation, contracts, leases, and transactions.
In the local community, Daniel participates with Knights of Columbus, where he served as an officer and board member for several years. In addition, Daniel is a founding member and past-President of KOC Charities of Gardner, Inc. Daniel is married and has two children. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, helping coach his kids' sports teams, hiking, and participating in endurance challenges.
